EON

Phonak EON is the newest hearing aid platform from Phonak and the third generation of its Audéo Sphere technology. It carries forward the speech-in-noise performance that Sphere is known for while introducing a noticeably smaller and lighter design, smarter automatic processing, stronger wind-noise management, and native Auracast connectivity. Built around three core ideas (adaptive clarity, effortless connectivity, and intuitive design), EON supports hearing losses ranging from mild through profound. The platform is available as the Audéo Sphere EON, the Audéo R EON, and the CROS R EON companion transmitter for single-sided hearing loss.
Clearer Speech in Noise with Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0
At the center of EON is an updated approach to one of the hardest listening challenges: following a conversation when there is noise all around you.
Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 uses dedicated AI processing to separate speech from background noise, enhance the speech signal, and then reintegrate it so conversations come through more clearly in difficult environments. Phonak reports the following results, each measured under study conditions rather than guaranteed for every wearer:
- Up to 50% better speech understanding compared with advanced directional microphone technology
- Up to 37% less listening effort
- Users are up to two times more likely to understand speech coming from any direction
This speech-processing technology is now available across three performance levels rather than only the top two, making it accessible at more price points.
A Smaller, Lighter, and Smarter Design
EON pairs a more comfortable physical design with automatic processing that adapts to your surroundings on its own.
The platform is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere generation while keeping a standard rechargeable receiver-in-canal form factor, and it comes in eight color options. Working behind the scenes, AutoSense OS AI 8.0 and APD 4.0 are designed to react more quickly and intelligently as your listening environment changes, adapting between quiet and noisy settings and keeping Spheric Speech Clarity active in more situations. The goal is steady clarity and sound quality without asking you to change programs manually.
WindBlock 2.0 and All-Day Power
For anyone who spends time outdoors, wind noise can be one of the most frustrating parts of wearing hearing aids, and EON addresses it directly.
WindBlock 2.0 reduces microphone turbulence while preserving your access to speech and environmental sound, offering up to 50 dB of wind-noise reduction and preserving up to 30 dB of signal-to-noise ratio benefit. In Phonak testing, more than 90% of participants preferred WindBlock 2.0 for naturalness, and the feature is available across all performance levels. Power keeps pace with your day as well, with more than all-day battery life (up to approximately 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and time in noise) and a full charge from empty in about 2.5 hours. An optional portable charging case with its own built-in battery makes it easy to top up away from home.
Connectivity with Bluetooth, Roger, and Auracast
EON is built to connect seamlessly to the phones, computers, and public audio systems you use throughout the day.
Powered by the Era connectivity chip, EON can function as a hands-free headset for calls and video conferencing and offers:
- Broad Bluetooth compatibility with phones, computers, tablets, televisions, and media devices
- Hands-free calling and two-way audio
- RogerDirect support for compatible Phonak remote microphones
- Native Auracast support for compatible public audio broadcasts
- Compatibility with the myPhonak and myPhonak Junior apps
Native Auracast support is especially useful in places like airports, theaters, museums, houses of worship, and conference centers equipped with Auracast transmitters, letting broadcast audio stream directly to your hearing aids.
